I was using my rear chains and it all went good, and I even tooked pasengers , until I could not continue, so I started to go back on revers.
It all went wrong when I told some one to tast the snow deep to make a turne so I can continue using the first gear, he gived me wrong reading and I ended stoking.

I had a heating problem in the car.
I have filled the rad. with water in the morning and driven about 170 KLM, with no problem, then waited 2 hoers and driven tha car again.
After only about 5 KLM I started to loos power (the engine was not runing any more), and it was hot.
After waiting 20 minutes I was abel to start the engine but with some sound and restop after seconds.
After pulling the car back hom, it turned out that the oil pumb was malfunctioning, so we replaced it.
I went to the mountain after that , I will upload photos later.

Ouch. Dani those engines don't like getting too hot. If I were you I would keep a close eye on water level, oil level, and the colour of the oil (to make sure no water is getting in there). I would also get the cylinders pressure checked. Overheated engines sometimes result in blown head gaskets.

The engine also get very hot the last week , although I was at the snow in the mountain, it was after a major effort to climb a hill covered with snow, after finishing the hill I stopped the engine immediately and that when I could not started again till it went cold , but thank god nothing happened.
However I think I have a serious heat problem, and that why the old owner pouted a second fan at the outside (back to the first photo).

Your mechanic can do this for you. Takes out the spark plugs, put in pressure gauge, turn engine over and read the compression off the gauge. Can't recall off the top of my head what that should be.landdani wrote:How?I would also get the cylinders pressure checked

Broken is broken.
Their was a voice alerady start from the morning( KrKrKrKrKrKrKr....)
I was at the gas station, filled it up, chaked the water and the oil (A week new but verrry hot).
It was winter, after a one hill the car stopped, I tow it to the garage yard.
The garagist said I ( over used the engine) and the engine was weak in the first place, so it get broken from the inside (a baston or something).
I admit that the voice was their from the morning, but it was only one hill on asfelt.

My brother will never trust a land rover again, especially he drived a DODG that day, what a car, our car was the only one that stoped and not went through the obstacles.
what would shipping cost ...I guess allot but could be worth thinking about
What are you doing with it now. Rebuild the one youve got, new engine, sell it and get something else?
