Stage 1's in LRO
This months LRO has just landed on the door mat and its good to se an article on stage 1's.
I think even Terry gets a mention in Rob McCabes vehicle column.
Although he does call terry's stage 1 Pea Green

Read the article this morning when I got my copy. Dog wasn't too impressed, we were just going for a walk and met the postman at the door. Saw the stage 1 on the front cover so had to have a read before doing anything else.
Nice to see there is still a bit of interest in our model. The guy has done a nice job on it. Inspires me to get on and do all the little niggly jobs on mine that need doing.
Regards Huzey.

I started off with nothing, and still got most of it left!

Theres always a way !
Hey All,
Just to let Firemanshort know we can get a subscription to LRO here in the US - only problem is that they treat us as second class citizens and we are a little over a month behind. I can get parts delivered from Craddocks in 4 days, but LRO takes over a month by airmail - go figure.
If all else fails I can scan a copy for Firemanshort when I get mine - might be a small delay though
Alan
BTW Dave did you get everything sorted on the Dutch front? I can assure you it was nowhere near as nervewracking as it was dealing with the California Highway Patrol when I took my Stage One in for inspection!

Hopefully the gentleman is flying in on the 3rd to collect and drive back, but his communication has to say the least been abysmal. ( this may be a continental thing)
As I posted the paperwork is minimal with no export documents I justtear of and retain the purple part of my tax doc and give him the rest then I send the purplee bit with covering letter to the DVLC easy-peasy
God bless Edward Heath and the common market.
Regards Dave

Ginga,
What's funny is that the magazine arrives in a wrapper marked airmail. I fail to see how/why a magazine sent by airmail can take 28 days. Even surface mail these days is really quick.
I just amused myself with this thought - I got a Land Rover delivered from the UK to California quicker than LRO gets my magazine to me!
Alan.

Sorry for not posting this before now - couldn't get my login to work. I scanned and emailed the article to Firemanshort 5 days ago.

Yeah, there's a bunch of good tech articles in there. Maybe one day you will have good use of that article describing axle narrowing, too?martin hughes wrote:KRAVL has a point,
The item advertised on the front "8 tips to keep your engine cool" would have come in handy a few times!
