left manifold

Post by stephen »

Just fitted RR headers to the girl jee its real tight in there now had to do so due to manifold cracked off at flange and cast iron is hard to work with when welding it back together. Result off swap even less room on left side due to chassie rails 5mm but sounds great with twin system and through mufflers and feels like more power. next thing is the blingy RR wheels with copper tyres them the fuel injection

Hey, sounds really good. Can you post some pics? 5mm isn't too bad - as long as it doesn't touch!

Do you still want your standard single down pipe manifolds?

Thanks for the link, Stirling, though I already had a good look at that and saved the photos for reference! I thought stephen meant headers as in extractors, you know, tubular manifolds.

I'm pretty sure he means the EFI manifolds. Because range rover extractors don't fit the stage 1. The Chassis rails are much closer together and fouls. I think some people in the past have managed to fit the extractors by heating them and bending them to hug the block more closely.

The EFI manifolds are supposed to be a pretty good compromise though.
