Lovely truck. Got to be one of the last of the production line on an A plate.

looks odd

Post by sebking »

so a 109 but with defender doors (bearing in mind the first 110's had sliding windows. Also a one piece windscreen.

Series dash with loads of wires hanging out too.

Doors defo look out of place without the galv trim and it's had a lick of paint too as the remainder of the galv trim has been over painted too.

Defender badging and rear lights.

All looks a bit wrong to me or am I being unfair?

A lot of money for what looks a little bit of a bitsa?

Actually it's all wrong

Defender body on a Series chassis?

110 badging too.

Wrong grill, wrong mirrors etc

And that gear lever looks suspect as well.

Exactly my thoughts too. Seems to be lots of bits put together.

-Petrol filler cap?
-Doors
-Windscreen
etc what everyone else has said.

Seems a shame if its been modified!

stage one 110????

Post by stan »

Stage One V8 110 Defender!!! What does that mean? There is no such beast. Nene are describing it as very original. It isn't. Most of the parts which distinguish a Stage One from a Defender have been replaced. Horrible. Save yourself some money and find an old 110 V8 if that's what you're after - this ain't a Stage One any more.

I don't see the 5000 Sterling myself, but Americans aren't always looking for what the rest of us are.

If you compare it to what you can buy in Australia for under 2000 Sterling, you've still got 3000 to blow on a cosmetic tart up and get to keep all the wiring inside the dash. Especially if you are in California, then you don't have to ship it across the continent as well as the Atlantic.

It is not what it says it is

It is so far from a stage 1 as not to be a stage 1. It's being advertised as a stage 1 with a whole load of oddities whilst being described as "Very original throughout"... it's clearly not!

Ok, I didn`t know that "nene" is a commercial name.
Since it is , then their is a fraud in the commercial. :x
But still it is hard to always find orijinal parts, I would change my "ruind" chair for a new defender`s one.
