I know it is mad but I'm planning to do some distance driving in the Stage 1 so I've bought a couple of rolls of Dynamat to put over the rear "arches" under the benches and the sides of the footwells.
I've also bought a huge bit of stable floor rubber (don't ask) that I intend to make front and rear mats out off (11mm thick with a dappled non slip suface and horse urine proof!!!).
I'll also put some dynamat on the inside of the doors and bonnet and under the front seats (it also acts as heat reflector).
Pictures to follow.

sounds like a good idea to me!!
I got bought a rear load mat for my stage one for xmas!! and after fitting that I bought a SWB one to match, which I then cut out to make fit the footwell, as you cant buy them to fit a Stage One, it looks pretty good even if i say so myself!! haha
But sounds like your going one step further.. will be worth it though!
