Front panel wanted.

Post by map1275 »

Chasing a front panel with oil cooler provision.

I'll press my luck and ask for a used one in Sahara Dust. You can only ask!

Otherwise I'd settle for some good pics of one fitted (how the second grille attaches and how the panel hole is cut etc.).

Is this any good. Does not include the grill.I know the cooler hole is not in it but i would say you would be unlikely to find one.

I'm in the Uk though. Postage will cost.

Thanks for the quick offer, however the oil cooler hole is the issue.

I already have the standard panel. If I have to cut my one up, then I'd like to get it as close as possible to what it should be.

Hi Bumpkin,

Just what I was looking for - how much do you want for the panel and shipping to Denmark :) ? Maybe it'll be christmas after all:)

Thanks

We'll have to see if Map wants it as he asked first.I wanted £50 for it as its brand new & unmarked.Postage to Aus is dear though. Wont be to bad to Denmark. I bought it some time ago and had not even taken it out of the box till today and did'nt realise it was an export panel.

I'm interested. If you could scare me with a cost to send. I don't know if DHL might be better than Royal Mail for this.

Alternately, I'd still be happy with some good pictures of the hole with a ruler in the background.

While on this topic; the oil cooler's grill has three lugs (like what the main grill uses to hook in to the top of the panel). Where do these fit in to the lower panel? Holes that aren't obvious?

Hi
There are no holes as you can see in the lower panel.I have never seen a oil cooler panel so i dont know how they go.I can give you exact measurements if thats all you require, no problem. Not bothered if i sell or keep. I was just hoarding it.

If Map won't take it, please count me in as buyer :)

Interlink are usually pretty cheap to Denmark - approx. 10£ for up to 30 kg :)

Thanks

I'm getting there, its not e-bay. I've had so many contacts this week wanting a 'buy now' price. All Isuzu owners.

Anyway...

Hoarding, never! You may well need that part one day. Would you believe the only thing that's putting me off is wasting the red paint. As someone may well need a direct (painted) replacement.

Otherwise, I'm just not overly keen to chop up my own front panel.

I have two new sub grills. Both of these have the extra pointy bits. Without them, I would imagine the grill could flap a bit.

I'm having trouble attaching pictures. If anyone wants to e-mail me directly I'll send a pic of what I have.

Fair dinkum - but it's exactly the masai red I'm after  I also have the oil cooler and corresponding grille.

Probably the reason why you have a picture of a red Rover.

I'm happy as long as someone sends me some pictures of the hole and how the sub grille fits. So off to Denmark we go.

I already have the cooler and fittings and am about to slice up the radiator cowl. At least its got factory markings of where to cut.

MAP
Use Photobucket.
Once you have downloaded to the host.
tick the appropiate box and highlight the correct Post To Forum box.
Usually the bottom choice.
MAP
You have first choice on the panel but MIC has a Masi red Stage 1 with an oil cooler and a grill to suit. :|
The grey panel is my spare with the stainless grill i made for myself.I'm sure Mic would be more than pleased to post photos of the oil cooler.

I think Mik will make better use of it than I will.

I was going to ask whether the grill was SS.
