By the way, I have just (last weekend) bought a 110 V8 Hicap in very straight original condition. Should be interesting to see it next to your 109. Here's a sneak preview (better photos to follow):

I was looking at a mini for my lad the other day any came across a 110 HiCap on a Y plate. Very very early. Probably straight after mine. Any ideas why my VIN does not work on CLIFTON? Beauty110,Just bought a Disco with a SU carbed on gas for 400. Gas kit should go straight on my V8 as shes on SUs. Had a chance of a new butt for mine the other day. Internal wheelarchs are different as the 110 axles are wider. Bugger!
