iddling too high whit cd 175 carb's...

Post by philip »

Hello to everybody,
altough i have an old v8 110 and not a stage one.....maybe some one whit more experience can tell me something :D
I think the engine is the same whit 113 ps and solex-zenith carb's.(electronic injection)
So when cold the engine do not stay at idle low rev's whitout a bit pull of choke .When hot it stay on but whit unregularly turn's..so it can not go to the pollution control ...what i can see for ?The engine d'ont smokes and have only 95.000 km's..
My Landy have plenty of power otherwise ...i think that the fuel mixture can only be setted from specialist whit special instrument's..?
regard's from Phil

Ps sorry for my poor english...

Hi Phil,

Adjusting the stomberg carbs is not too difficult. You need the correct adjusting tool which costs around £10 and an air flow /vacumn gauge.

I have just tuned mine. I used on of these:

and

Have a look here for more information.

Hi Phil

The Solex carb is a Stromberg and tuning is the same procces as SU's just using a different tool and mixture screw.

If they look something like this:

Then the information above should be good for you.
