Hi I’m not a member nor do I own a Stage 1 but I saw this on Facebook and I
know that some SWB Stage 1s were built by LR I
think for one of the Police forces in Jamaica or the the Islands in the
Caribbean .
I not sure if this is one of them but the colour of the bulkhead ( Java
green ) and the gear lever looks like an LT95 and the fact it’s registered
as a 109 may all point to it being possibly a factory build ? The weight
plate is in one of the pictures as is the registration number which may
help identify if it’s the real thing ? Hope this may be of interest to your
members. Please note that I have no connection to the seller it’s just
something I saw and thought I would pass on as I know that this era of
Landrover history is starting to come of interest . It could be something
someone built out of a 109 ???

SWB on Facebook
Re: SWB on Facebook
I saw this on other pages on FB. The general consensus seems to be that it is likely to be a cut down chassis and not originally an 88.

Re: SWB on Facebook
Yes, I replied to Leigh saying the same. The VIN decodes to a RHD 2 door 109" V8
