Hi
I’m Zaz, been lurking for a while whilst negotiating Stage 1 purchase which finally concluded at the weekend.Anyone else up my way near Aberdeen?
Now the proud owner of KAS4Y ‘83 HIgh Cap Pick Up in Marine Blue.
Bit of a barn find, well been in a barn unused for 6 years and in storage for 6-10 years before that. 65k miles, original paint and panels with a sprinkling of dust and farmness and at least 1 mouse nest so far.... It’s very original and complete.
Had a Galv chassis 15 or so years ago which has lasted well, no rot at all but it’s lost it’s galv in places Which is a shame. The galv has definitively done it’s sacrificial job well. Needs a couple of footwell repairs and some door frame repairs and some TLC. Looking forward to getting it running again and getting it legal. Will no doubt be reaching out for random parts and trinkets... Only things I’ve noted so far are rear mud flaps, small inspection hatch for the HCPU bed and Seals for the truck cab rear windows...
Knee deep in 2 door Range Rover and 101 resto projects too so no stranger to Landies and the V8! Have a set of original forward control rims that have been waiting for the right home.
Was a fair tow home with bed full of Spare Engine, Series 3 gearbox and 10 rims and tyres!
Cheers!
