I need a picture of a Stage One bonnet underside - but I'm a long way from home at the moment, so cannot have a look myself in the garage - does anyone have a pic showing how the metal structure is formed ?

Here is an image of the underside. Excuse the crap, it does a lot miles on rubbish roads.

Dunno. It's on a Stage 1 and it was put there when new. It is ex-army so I don't know if there is any difference with civilian models.

110.
Both assemblies will interchange. Just sundry fittings and the spare wheel carrier are different because of the framework.

PA Blanchard has a spare Wheel reinforcement kit - but it's not strong enough for the Stage One Bonnet - anyone know of a kit that'll reinforce the Stage One bonnet sufficiently ?

There isn't a reinforcement kit for the 109 V8. Only the fitting kit for the spare wheel. The plate with tubes, a lot of small set screws and the buffers.
The 110 bonnet has a spare wheel mount kit and additional reinforcing plates.

Understood - maybe I should see if I can get hold of an early 110 bonnet
