stub axle sleeve

Hi folks, wonder if anyone can help me by explaining the correct procedure to remove the stub axle bronze sleeve (part no FRC2928) from the stub axle so that I can replace the stub axle oil seal (FRC3099). And then the procedure for putting it all back together.....? Thanks

I haven't done one for a while but the bronze ring is driven out with a pin punch and refitted with a tube, metal seal installer or large socket. The inner seal is inside the tin cup which can be a fiddle to remove. Ideally a new tin cup is purchased. Otherwise use a narrow slot screwdriver as a pin punch and drive out the seal. Refit with a tube, seal installer or large socket.
I assume that you've read the workshop manual v8 supplement?
