New owner of RHP175R
Hi folks
Just to let you know I have bought prototype number 2 from the salvage yard in Nottingham. It's safe and will be restored over time.
Cheers

Thanks Geoff,
Just looking into a bit of history now. It was used by BMIHT as a run around and tow truck in the 1980s. It was in LRE magazine in 2001 in James Taylor's Roverphile.

Coincidentally, one of mine (the green one - although it was apparently originally silver) was also owned by BMIHT between 1983 and 1990 - I would love to see any photos of it from that period, so if you or anyone else knows of or comes across any please let me know.
It has just occurred to me - mine has been resprayed in the past at least twice and maybe three times - there are some tiny traces of the original silver but also some of blue (the two times I know about were both green) - I just wondered if BMIHT painted the vehicles they used blue, does anyone know? as this is the colour of yours - do you know when it acquired that colour? Just a thought.

That's fascinating (to me at any rate!) Any chance of posting any old photos?

Will do. I've just bought old issues of LRE and they are on the way to me now. I'll also need to open a photo sharing account as my phone pics are too big for the forum. Is Photobucket the easiest to use?disco2hse wrote:Reckon you could scan an share the article?

Photobucket is fine for most people.

Link works!
Interesting vehicle, and result with photo of it in silver. What's the thoughts on restoration? Back to that point in time?
