How many splines are our axles

I got a line on a Detroit rear differential. Not to open the debate about auto locking diffs / limited slip diffs / air locking diffs and so forth.....

The locker I am looking at is set up for a Sauls with 24 spline axles. I do not know what the standard Stage One spline count is (10 spline or 24 spline).

I could wander out to the driveway and pull a rear axle to take a look - but am short on time this week and hoping for a quick answer back to the seller.

Does anyone out there know?

Thanks!!

I THINK salisbury is 24 and standard (front) is 10 spline

So my question only generated more questions..... such is a Rover story.

I went out to the drive and pulled my rear axle.....

It looks like 1980 Stage One 2 door models have 24 spline rear axles...

(... also super thanks to Uncle In-Law Paul from up in the Lake District who sent me those Whitworth wrenches....)

Good to know. I guess with any transition vehicle, there may be variances.
