Wiper issues

My wiper motor is giving me a hard time. It seems that the drive wheel that has the lump which pushes in the park switch rod doesn't seem able to. I have fitted a new park switch and it sometimes works and some times not.
I suspect it is the drive wheel but are they replaceable? I can't really see any wear on the drive wheel or cam/lump. Would it be something as simple as lubrication on the drive wheel or the switch rod? Perhaps with di-electric grease in case it gets into the mechanism?
