Hi, just a quick hello. I've had a 2 1/4 Diesel for several years but fancy a Stage 1 and Google brought me over hear. No doubt I'll be asking some questions if and when I start getting serious about buying one.
Julian.

OK! So, for instance, what does the team think of this one, good or bad - too expensive or a fair asking price? I don't know as there's little on the www regarding prices.

I swung over towards the Stage one as so many Defenders seem to have been home converted or modified by jacking up and all the other things that people do. I really want a nice genuine 3.5 running on proper carbs and a dizzy as near to when it left the factory as possible.
Any clues for the best advertising spots (in the UK) that people tend to use?
Cheers Julian

Assume you're in Britain.
That has a very good pedigree but to my mind it is pricey. Ultimately a car is worth what someone will pay for it and I guess they can expect that much, especially if it is sold to a market like the US. In NZ a Stage 1 is not likely to get above $6000 unless it has something really special about it.
I imagine that one will keep you running for a couple of decades.
