Now here we have something special, a genuine ex-SEB Stage 1 V8 cherrypicker. Surely if any of them ought to be preserved/restored it would be this one?

Is it 6x6 or 6x4?

The listing says 6x6. They had a 6-wheel Stage 1 with the back off at my local Land Rover garage last time I was there and that was 6x6 too.

I understand the one at my local garage is for sale now too and that they want ten grand for that one.

Would be great fun off-road if it had LSD's. Wonder how hard it is to turn at low speed and no power steering.

Realised when I took this picture of it today parked next to one of my Stage 1s and looked at the reg, that the Stage 1 Sandringham 6x6 at my local garage is the very same vehicle pictured at the beginning of this thread!

I'd give them a ring in the morning, as I notice the magazine article gave a different email address - swinfieldcooper@btconnect.com - and I don't know how often either are checked!
