Have been watching it. Would love to buy it and do the whole Africa overland trip 'daydream' in it. Well worth it for the money I recon.
Stage 1's for sale on eBay are getting rarer too. A shed was on for £1k recently.

There is a W reg Stage1 ambulance kicking around which I last saw on the L2B run in 2009. It has a very similar body but it doesn't look like it was built by the same conversion company. Last I heard is that it got sold a couple of years ago when it was owned by a historic rescue group. I suspect it would make a terrific camper but with all that weight added it would have a monumental drink problem

I have actually seen this one in the flesh, looks really tidy. Wish I had the room for it myself.have seen a few series 2s with the same type of back body.see its running on gas,so fuel shouldn't be that bad.
