Hi, due to buying a house, having children etc my stage 1 is for sale.
It's a 1981, 109 pickup in inca yellow. It is on a galvanised chassis (£2000 with the vat), parabolic springs, all new brake drums shoes and cylinders, heavy duty steering rods, 1 ton rims, new 235/85/16 tyres, new fuel tank and facet pump, the list goes on.
Shortly after getting it the engine got noisy and i found the crank was very worn, i happened to have a perfect 4.6 bottom end i'd bought for another job thought it would be cool to use this and make it look like the original, so it has the 3.5 heads, rocker covers and timing cover, carbs etc. It now looks completely normal under the bonnet but pulls like a train!
I have kept all the original parts so it could all be put back to standard. I run a land rover specialists and have used it as my daily transport and also taken it to local shows etc. It always gets a lot of interest.
It is in great usable condition but isn't perfect, the paintwork is a mixture of original and repainted and isn't perfect, the doors have been repaired but are solid and it could do with the swivels re-sealing but the c v's and chrome swivels are good.
Will try and put some pictures on, but prefer people to come and have a good look at old vehicles.
I am selling this privately and not through my business. And would love it to go to someone who appreciates what it is. My number is 07742099020. Thanks James
