Good morning gentlemen - any ideas where I might be able to source one of these in NZ?

Have tried Landroverparts.co.nz - waiting on landroverspares... any other ideas? Thanks.

I'm guessing MS80's are the original Carbs.

Broaden your search. There are loads of these tools around.
I got some for my Rover SD1 years ago.

These same tools are used by many British cars, e,g Rover, Triumph, Jag Etc..........

Some will turn up easy enough :D

Have Fun :!:

Ah, I thought they may be specific to the Stage 1.

Thanks. Will keep hunting around.

Thanks for that - thought I believe that the Stage 1 has the CDSE carb in it - later model?

I'm pretty sure it's the correct tool but the description the seller has written is all wrong.

Here is another one for 175CD V8 Rover engines 1982-1985.

Yeah, looking at the service manual, and his image - they look identical.

Have purchased. Thanks for the heads up.

Hrm... ok folks - how do I go about definitely identifying what Zenith I have in there? The hexagonal tool doesn't seem to be going into anything - but want to confirm what tool I am meant to be using before I push anything.

Look on the top of the carb. You should see 175 CD and that needs the tool to hold the diaphragm so you can adjust the needle height with the tool. Otherwise the adjustment might rip the diaphragm.

I have one 175 CD-2 that has the mixture adjustment below the carb and needs no tool.
Cheers.

Is the tool you use got a hex end, or a bladed end?

There are two sorts, mine is the one on the right in this picture

The bottom has a slot that matched a blade in the carb.

Cheers.

Yep. One on the right is the one I need.

Where did you get yours? Seems to be a bit of a challenge locally...
