Stage 1 V8

Hi All

I am new to the forum and have just acquired a stage 1, 12 seater

I purchased it to put the stage one running gear in my 88" so the gearbox, front propshaft, front axle, seatbox, tunnel and floorpans are all needed. But there are a lot of parts which are not needed and are to good to scrap.

Shame! Why would you destroy a beautiful, magnificent, rare old Stage 1 Station Wagon to put its bits in some 88?? Well, what answer did you expect on the Stage 1 forum?!

My restored 88 keeps eating gearboxes hence the reason for the stage one parts.

This poor old stage one has spent a lot of its time on a pig farm and used as a shooting vehicle. There is not much left in the back and the chassis is long past repairing.

Thought it best to other the bits to keep another stage 1 going. Bit like a organ doner

Thats a shame but other vehicles may live as a result

Quick update on the usable parts on the stage one.

Bulkhead is in very very very good condition and only needs a pair of footwells

Dash. Wiper cover and steering shroud all mint and complete.

Engine runs and has good oil presure. No knocks or bangs.

Steering box and relay.

Safari roof with vents and headlining are in very good condition (headlining needs a clean but is complete has no damage.)

All the doors have been repaired at some point but do retain the sundyn glass.

Rear door in good condition and complete with factory rear wiper.

Quater panels behind second set of doors are immaculate.

Front grill complete with original L/R badge.

Front wings have got some corrosion and a few dents but maybe of use to someone.

Would you consider selling the complete vehicle minus the parts you have listed that you want to keep

If not, I am looking for the following

Full dash - top and bottom pannels, wiper cover, instrument pannel
Door cards for front doors (even as templates if they are in poor condiiton)
Sundym glass for the windscreen and front door tops
Fuel lines (especialy the return from the carbs to the tank) if you can get them off undamaged
Heater valve and pipes
front grill
radator if it holds water (as a spare)
Exhaust manifolds (if proper stage 1 ) and y pipe (the originals seem much better than the ones you can get now)
Bulkhead trim, if present and can be removed
Choke cable
door hinges with mirrors if it still has the S3 mirrors not defender ones
