My header tank is leaking where the the pipe from the rad meets, it's off to be soldered up but as is NLA and just in case any one got an idea of a replacement alternative?

I’m working from memory here so don’t shoot me, but I think the expansion bottle is the same as what was fitted to MGB’s and/or Midgets. As for an upgrade I remember seeing something almost identical on a modern MG RV8 but in plastic
As for a repair; it should be easily soldered as the pipe isn’t flanged – it goes though the side of the bottle to almost the bottom so that the siphoning effect can return the water to the rad when cooling.
