When I got my truck the LUCAS brand stop / tail light was rusted and did not work properly. I replaced the light socket with new replacement ones - Wipack brand - from Paddocks.
Now, a few years later, the plastic sockets are stripped out and the light bulb pops out.
Does anyone know of a source of steel or metal replacement light sockets?

Just search ebay (worldwide) for the Lucas model number of the light you want (L647 ??). They come up fairly regularly and the usual major difference is the length of the wires which mean they will have been allocated a different part number.
There is nothing wrong with Wico Pacey and they have been genuine part for many years. They are also cheap. So readily worth replacing at any signs of fault or decay.
