Stage One's In Action
I normally post my rally and trail ride photos on other forums - usually the D-90 Forum or the ROAV.ORG forum as those are the guys I wheel with.
However, it came to me that I never share my Stage One photos with the Stage One groupies. Looking at this forum - we would think that Stirling is the only one the flogs his truck off road.
Everyone should post more photos of the Stage One in the dirt!!!
July 30 in Pennsylvannia - Rausch Creek Off Road Park
July 22 in Virginia - The Cove

My Stage One survived but it took a beating.
I must have bottomed out on 1,000,000 rocks. I ended up with some dents in the front fender and rear quarter. I think both will "pull out" by hand. There are already enough "character marks" on my truck that they will soon blend in. My sliders and heavy front bumper earned thier keep.
The weather was blistering hot - it was 101oF (38oC) on Friday and 98oF (37oC) on Saturday. Driving through yucky deep mud packed my radiator up a little. I was definately running hot toward the end of the day. Once we got off the trail - I went to a self service car wash and used the pressure washer to blast out my radiator and all was soon better.
The rest of the truck is still covered in mud. My battery box is completely full of mud and water - by that, I mean that my battery needs to be "dug out" and the hole under seat box blasted clean with fresh water. I just need work to slack off so I can spend time on important things - like muddy Rovers.
There was a DISCO II and a D-130 that both broke thier steering arms at dofferent times / places on Satruday. Both returned to limted service through creative trail repairs.

Mid-Atlantic Rally
This photo was from a trail building weekend for the Mid-Atlantic Rally (MAR). Here, I am clearly demosntrating the limits of leaf spring felxibility. (Even the slinky coilers had trouble on this trail!)
Nick Dawson took this photo of my truck at the MAR last weekend. There was at least one other Stage One there - it was a 5 door.
I am squeezing through the RTV course for a laugh. My score did nothing to threaten the 90's that were cleanly snaking their way through but I had a good time nevertheless.

Mid Atlantic Rally. Bunch of drips
People are frequently surprised at the amount of articulation achieved by the old cart springs. Even though my old George sits fairly low (it has no lift and ain't gonna get one) it can rage across most gnarly ground simply because of the amount of wheel travel. I get hung up on deep ruts though (high centred) and that seems to be happening more these days as people buy 35"+ tyres as standard. No amount of articulation is going to fix that unfortunately.

Drips?
Alan -
Drips? That is funny if I thought you from NZ actually had a window into the Mid Atlantic Rally (MAR). IT RAINS ALMOST EVERY YEAR
This year - Satruday was beautiful but we got some rain and cold wind on Saturday night just to make the tent pack up on Sunday morning - eww - damp
More photos (no Stage One's) are here: http://www.roav.org/ForumsPro/viewtopic/t=651.html
and here: http://daws.in/rf8ZSP
None of these are my photos.
