SU Carb Air Intake Adaptors - ETC7216

Post by Raggylad »

I'm after a pair of these - the elbow part that connects the 'elephant ear' air intake pipe to the carb.

Needed for my planned conversion from Strombergs to SUs.

The parts list gives ETC7216 as the part number - which is different from the same part for Strombergs (though the illustration is the same). Anyone know whether or not they are the same ?

Not listed on LR Series, Craddock's or any of the usual suspects and only available on FleaBay when attached to a complete engine - and (a) I don't want another knackered engine (b) don't want to spend a couple of hundred quid just to get 2 parts and © don't wnat to drive to the other end of the country to do so !

Anyone have any ideas or know where I can get hold of a pair ?

Many thanks

Try looking for any of the countless other models that use them.

Any P5 B, P6 B, or SD1 owner will probably give them away.

had a look, as far as i can see, without removing them there the same (obviously a PO may have fitted stromberg ones to SU's ...but if so then you should be able to as well)

The face and vent hole locations are different, hence why you have the surplus gaskets in every set.
