FS: front diff from stage 1

Post by stephenh »

I bought a stage 1 front axle on eBay recently, as I wanted the hubs for a project. The axle casing and diff are taking up valuable space in my garage, so if anyone's interested, make me an offer!

Hi.

The diff is 10-spline, 3.54:1 (I thought they all were).
The half-shafts are 24-spline at the hub end, but I'm hanging on to those as part of the UJ-to-CV project!
Not sure I understand the question about the filler...
The axle casing has the usual selection of:
- filler plug on front of diff pan
- drain plug on bottom of diff pan
- breather on top of near side tube

Probably not much use on a s2 unless you've got a 3.54 rear diff to go with it!

I was meaning does the diff have a filler plug as the S2 axle doesnt
I have some RR diffs but the lack of filler plugs is an issue (im not chopping the axle to add one, or pulling shafts to fill them) , couldn't remember if the stage 1 filler was on the diff or the axle casing
some 3.54 diffs are 24 spline diff end (not sure when they came in though...could be much later)
