Engine wanted

Post by flyingkipper »

Due to a spontaneous oil pump failure followed by a sump full of swarf and broken metal I am in need of a good second hand engine.

Any 3.5 V8 considered - stripped engine would be best as I can transfer over my good bits.

Would rebuild, but don't have the space.

Anyone have anything? Southern half of UK preferred as I would be hiring a van to collect it back to Twickenham.

Thanks for reading,
Noel.

I've got a 3.9 with carbs on it I'm thinking of getting rid of. I've temporarily put the 6.2 GMC intended for my Volvo into the stage 1 and off to Afghanistan for probably a year as of next month. I'll likely put a small block in when I get back. I'm in the south of Scotland though! It's a good engine with no dramas I put in after I got bored with the original.

Thanks for offer.
Unlikely I will be able to get up to you within a month though!

I have actually decided to order an engine from a breakers that I have been recommended. They do a 1 month guarantee, so we will see what its like. If it turns out to be any good I will post the details here.

Noel.
