Just thought I would introduce myself, names George, 42 and have just bought a stage one county wagon (Millie), I also have a defender 90 which is now a off road toy (Martha), A series 2a in bits that was going to be a project but then 7 days later I got the stage one so 2a is to be broken. Oh and a freelander but no one wants to know that :D. live in Sunderland NE England and I am a maintenance engineer. As this is my first trip into series land will prob be asking a lot of questions like where is the light for the diff lock, is diff lock engaged when knob pulled out or in.
Millie needs a lot of work to chassis and bulkhead but she will live again, apart from that she is in a nice unmolested condition. also running a bit erratic as she has stood around for 4 years, so needs a bit TLC in the engine dept.

Regards George

Nothing wrong with being a Mackem, I'm married to one!!!!!

My collection also includes a Freelander 2, S3 SWB, S3 LWB, the Stage 1 and a Range Rover Classic - be bold and admit to the LR disease! :D

Looks like youve got yourself a good project there
mucuh more complete than mine

good luck with the chassis ....it will be worse than you think now .....
if you have issues with the chassis rails its worth getting some steel folded....saves allot of effort

Welcome,

Glad to see another one brought back to life. It'll be the best toy you've ever owned.

Regards Mark...
