So did I,I saw 53 Degrees C last year
......In my Oven!!!
Totally off post but curious: In Australia I saw a few trucks and utes with the bonnet painted black. I was told at the time it was to keep the sun off their eyes. Really? How hot can that make under bonnet temperatures? What components really suffer in these temps? Tyres? Carbs? Dash?
I know tyres can blow but I havent had any issues myself
Any Petrol carby engine can vaporize in these temps I always find Rovers with an electric fuel pump better than other others.
Dash boards and paintwork tend to deteriorate quickly particularly in cheap Korean cars.
I know in the early years in the Territory the British made trucks had huge issues with the transmissions overheating and destroying them selves, It was interesting because the shafts would actually grow and you couldnt get the bearings off.
Never seen black bonnets myself if I have I havent noticed them lol

Well here in Vancouver it's a nice warm 20 degrees with sunshine and spring flowers coming out. Some overpaid sods organizing the winter Olympics in three weeks are trucking in snow into to cover the local ski hill. Dozens of roads are to be closed. 20,000 extra vehicles are expected. Robyn my good woman has laid in a months supply of food and I'm going to bolt all the doors and work in the prototype shop. If we don't decide to head elsewhere in her boat. Ray.

This is what I am thinking. Nothing on Rocky Mountain UK's website, nothing on Rover (Roamer) Drive Vancouvers website and generally nothing of news anywhere
