Hello fellow Stage 1 owners,

I've been foolish enough to purchase an un-finished V8 project which is already proving to be a handful! I've already got a S3 SWB and have previously owned a Stage 1 V8 Station Wagon, a S2a Carawagon, and other various 109's - together with the daily driver, the Freelander 2.
So, please excuse me if I have to ask too many questions, but I'd like to put her back together in the right way even though she has been turned into a crew cab pick-up (it works for me)!
As I'm new to this forum, I can't see how to post pictures, but when I have sorted out how, I'll post progress pictures.

Cheers

I know what you mean, but I paid £3,200 for a S3 SWB that looked like it was a good re-build. Like you, I haven't stopped paying out on it. Clutch cylinder, brakes all round, fuel tank, head gasket and I've removed about a kilometer of useless wiring - so even paying top dollar you can still get a lemon (it has got a galvanised chassis though)!

Sort of, long story. Currently living in Dorking, but moving back to Redhill (off Redstone Hill) in May 2010.

I commute to Salfords in the V8 most Mondays to keep things turning over:
