Clean/replace the fuel filters and check that the pump is pumping.

Symptoms indicate either timing problem or insufficient fuel supply.

What's stamped into the top of the carb? It's probably all three names.

Quick test for carb pick up... loose the aluminium elbows and while running/trying to rev, pull choke out and see if this improves matters. Alternately try and rev and spray some Aerostart or Carb cleaner into the carbs.

If engine picks up where it had been flat, then you have a fuel supply problem.

getting the air ot the front can be hard - blead nipple being at the bottom

you may get lucky, Ive had one set bleed first time in about 10mins , another set took a day and clamping cylinders in and all sorts

often the problem with bleeding brakes is the wee hole in the nipple's partially blcked. Before you bleed them, take the nipple right out and stick some wire into the hole and then some compressed air to blow all the crap out. When you bleed them open the nipple right up, not just a 1/4 turn or whatever. Close it before the pedal's lifted and you'll have no dramas. Oh, the other important thing is to make sure the brake shoes are backed right off so the pistons are right inside the cylinders when you do it otherwise you've got no chance!

The manual gives an order to bleed,
I usually so furthest away first (ie back Lh, back Rh, Front Lh, Front Rh) this may or may not agree with the book

Assuming its warmed up and still needing 1/2choke , check all the other vacuum connections , needing choke is usually a sign its to lean, so probably an air leak in somewhere
Id not bother diagnosing the miss fire till thats sorted (might go away then)

new cap, rotor, leads etc and deffo plugs. the supplement has a really nice picture of where the leads go, check and double check. the V8 will run with the leads in all sorts of odd places!

buy proper parts too please or you will be miserable. Rimmer bros for the most part, original LR leads from paddocks.

3 in 1 in the dashpots winter, 20/50 in summer.

Check the points gap and with a dwell meter, check and recheck timing.

Drink tea, dunk rich tea and listen to V8 burble.
