Double S Exaust

Post by V8_Disco »

Hi

The Exaust is on the way out on my Stage 1, as I plan on keeping the truck I am thinking about a SS item,

I assume that this is unique to the Stage 1, or is it the same as the 6 pot?

Any ideas on supplier, or get one Fabed up localy?

Cheers

Let me know if you get one, and how much it is. I'm thinking of replacing mine soon. :?

I know they use to do a SS exhaust, as I was looking at them a couple of years ago

Just had a look on the Rimmer Bros website, and I must say the prices look good. I think I'll have to save some pennies and get myself a shiny exhaust.

make sure you are able to hear the exhaust in action before you buy it if possible. different systems suit different motors. i know a chap who was trying to get a 308 chev motor sounding sweet with a twin pipe setup, ended up doing all sorts eventually got there but spent way more money on it than necessary.

If you're considering the SS one from Rimmer, ask for a kit without a 2end muffler on the rear section, if you want to hear the exhaust :)

Mufflers and pipes are different. 109 V8 mid-muffler is NRC4361, 6 cyl. is 562737. The 6 cyl. doesn't have a rear box, its pipe is 90569214 (unless you are Belgium) and the 109 V8 has the rear muffler as part of the pipe, NRC4363. Different size pipe work. Obviously the front/down pipes and intermediate pipes are different ;)
