Fuel sending unit

Post by meph373 »

Hey guys. I have a flared fitting on my fuel sending unit. It bolts onto braided fuel line. The new one I got has a smooth elbow. Is this a modification, or did I get the wrong sender? The part numbers seem to be the same for most LWB SWs. I got it working for now by shearing off the elbow from the old one, a couple of hose clamps and six inches of fuel line. It looks like getting a flaring grip on this bugger is going to be a pain.

Anyone feel like peeking in their port hole?...so to speak.

Cheers,

Eric

Eric,

It might be that you need to get an olive and use the old fitting of the sender. Bit like plumbing compression fittings.
