Evening all,
Heading off to work this morning, noticed my Speedo has packed in. Any quick pointers as to what to look at first / most likely problem?
Part of my journey to work includes what is known locally as 'revenue hill' due to the frequent number of speed traps there, so i'll be aiming to get her right ASAP
Cheers
Chaz

Chaz,
It is a pretty simple system so there could only be a few things wrong. Start simple first and make sure the speedo cable is still connected to the back of the gauge. Check that the cable is still squared off at the end and is not stripped. on the gearbox end, it is easy to remove and inspect the red plastic gear that picks up transmission revolutions---this could have easily stripped as well. other than that, the cable itself could have separated somewhere between the gauge and the gearbox?? Hope that helps.
