Could you get the "V8-lettering" alone, or is "Land Rover" a part of the complete decal?

if you make the lettering yourself you can do whatever you want, if you use a site that makes it for you, likewise. but i you want original, you can only get it as a solid decal...if you really only wanted the v8, but still wanted it original, you could always just buy the original decal and chop it into two pieces. but that might be a bit of a waste of an decal like that.

Got a piccy now of the Fablon ones I made, I don't think they look too bad.

Like I said before they've been on 10 years or so and haven't peeled or faded.

I could be bothered to cut out "Landrover", so left it as V8. It's obvious its a Landy! :)

I ordered some V8 decals off ebay this week:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-stage-1-v8-stic ... dZViewItem

To my untrained eye they look OK, but I'm not an expert. I asked him how authentic they were, and this was his reply:

"only seen originals on a couple of photos as i don,t know exact dimensions or font it,s difficult to say. if you know or have any sizes etc i could check sorry if i,m being a bit vague cheers"

I've no connection with the bloke, and don't know enough about stage ones to say with any authority if they're any good, but it seemed a good idea to share this with everyone.

decals

Post by onno wielinga »

this afternoon I contacted maanrovers and ordered a pair of landrover v8 decals for 80 euro (65 for the decals 15 euro for delivery and packaging).
the site is www.maanrover.com as mentioned earlier.
they seem to be the original ones (i do think there's a british leyland/austin rover logo on it).

go to the site, click accessoires and you will see them mentioned as "stickers".

i mailed him tonight and asked him how many he has left. i let you know[/img]
