Original color for wheels?

Post by 1toughV8 »

This is to anyone that might have an answer. My rims look terrible as someone tried to paint them with a paintbrush---literally and i am trying to decide what color to paint them while i have all of the tyres off and have sandblasted the rims? From the photo gallery it looks like most of the stage 1 trucks have white rims? it doesn't look too white though, almost an off-white color? anyone know exactly what color they should be?

thanks for any info
Chris

I got a litre from paddocks to do the roof that I am going to fit to my stage 1 and it looks dead good. Nice shine straight from the gun. I think it was about 11 quid for a litre.
Regards Huzey.
I started off with nothing, and still got most of it left!

I checked with Paddocks and the paint is cheap but the postage to Australia is not. I have found an automotive paint shop that can get me the Glasurit paint code that matches this limestone. Two questions? Acrylic or Enamel and do i need to use a hardener. I just got an air compress and paint gun so this will be my first attempt at a "professional" paint job for the wheels and safari top.

Cheer,
Chris

Does anyone have a photos of this paddocks limestone paint in action that they could post here? Just trying to get a feel for the color.

Cheers,
Chris
