Hey Fireman
Did you have to do a formal entry on your Land Rover? If so did they make you employ a Customs Broker? The Customs officials in Ventura, CA are making me get a broker even though the official Customs website says in is not required.
Mine is portside in Ventura and as soon as I sort out the paperwork BS I am going to collect - probably early next week.
Alan.

Thread HiJacK
I used E.H. Harms as my customs broker. It cost me about $80 for them to clear the paperwork. That is really cheap - if you ask me.
I did not HAVE to use them. but, it made my life easier.

$80 !!!!!!!!
Wow. I am paying $275. I understand what you mean about making your life easy - I would pay $80 in a heartbeat - I am bent about having to pay $275 as the paperwork is pretty straightforward, but $80 would be well worth it.
Do you have a contact number for your guys? I wonder if they have a California office?
Thanks,
Alan.

Customs Agent
My bill came to almost $200 - but a lot of that was the actual customs fees or port fees or loading and unloading fees. The part of the $200 that went into the broker's pocket was only about $80.
See www.ehharms.com - that is who I used.
