Rag Top Stage Ones

Post by firemanshort »

[Hi-Jack]

hey - did any of those military soft top 109 Stage Ones have the roll bar with seat belt mounts intergrated into the hoop set?

I am looking for some photos or information on how this type of hoop set woudl fit on a Stage One.

Yes - that is what I am looking for. Now, I need to find it in the US or in the UK so I can put it on my Land Rover.

I assume that this listing is not for your Land Rover.

Do you know if any modifications were required to fit the heavier bar / hoop? I am lloking for photos of any modfications that need to be made. In the military section of ORRP they mentioned something about the larger hoop not fitting the standard holes in the rear tub.

That looks very similar to the roll bars used in the 90/110's now used by the MOD. They have been fitted to various series vehicles and occasionally pop up on ebay.

The only thing I can see on mine is that it has a couple of large holes through the cappings and wellside, for the bar to go through.

Not an ex British Army vehicle, but if they had them, I suppose this is how they would look:

This is one I have just finished preparing for a customer - rebuilt engine, new wiring loom, winch with front and rear mountings. The paint was already on it when I bought it. It will be used mainly for forestry work, and I suspect it will have a hard life with its new owner.
