Grille badge wanted
Hi folks,
I've got round to hunting down parts required for RHP 175R. I've managed to pick up a few but I'm on the look out for a stage one grille badge. Anyone got one they would be willing to part with?
Cheers
Emrys

I mean the silver 'Land Rover' badge that goes on the front panel. Unique to Stage one, stage 2 FEPs and early 127s.disco2hse wrote:What does that look like?

Re: Grille badge wanted
Just been reading your article in this month's Classic Land Rover. Looking at the picture of the Mahoneys standing in front of RHP, I notice it is still painted silver in that picture, and also that it still had a grille badge. But not the standard Stage One badge, which is black lettering on silver - it appears instead to have silver lettering on black. If this was its original proper badge, it might be quite unique. It's not present in the photo posted on Facebook that was taken before the vehicle was stolen, so presumably didn't go missing after RHP was stolen. Worth asking Mr Mahoney if he knows what happened to it, just in case he still has it lying in a drawer somewhere?
Failing that, if you're still looking for a standard one, the price for the panel on bay I linked to earlier has been reduced considerably:

(£175 might still seem like a lot but, taking into account the prices now for the grille, badge, lock, panel etc, when you can find them at all, it's not actually unreasonable now)

Re: Grille badge wanted
The ebay listing mentioned above was relisted as an auction and made £57 - I reckon the buyer got a bargain.

Re: Grille badge wanted
I made the grille badge out of a Series 3 grille. Chris Mahoney told me the original was like that and was stolen years ago.
