Another Stage 1 on ebay - this one requires a little work:

"will need trailering away" duh Wonder what happened to the rest of it.
Another Stage One on Ebay
Re: Another Stage One on Ebay
30 quid maybe. looks pretty rotten so not a lot to start from. I assume the logbook is the value point. Likely to turn up as a ringer?

Re: Another Stage One on Ebay
a couple of useful parts on there - front axle, fuel tank and steering relay.
if l had the storage space and a trailer l would pick that up. Chassis isn't much use to me but the parts would be worth a punt. I expect that will make £200 (and maybe end up as a ringer!)

Re: Another Stage One on Ebay
I've considered this one. A point of note: With its original unmodified chassis (5 points), axles (2 points) and suspension (2 points) as well as its logbook - 9 identity points in total from a maximum of 14, in the uk that is more than sufficient to legitimately build it up on its original registration number (8 points required providing no chassis modifications). The only parts missing are engine (1 point), transmission (2 points) and complete steering (2 points). If he has the original steering box to go with the relay then that's a further 2 points giving a comfortable margin.
You would just need to rebuild it, inform the DVLA of the engine number of the replacement v8 and MOT as normal.
It may not be original, but the finished vehicle would not be a ringer. The quality of the build up would of course depend on access to the stage 1 specific parts required for a period correct build.
If the buyer has access to the 109v8-specific spares (I do, for example though these are earmarked for my part stripped 109v8) then it could be a chance to save another 109v8. If they use any old bits then would be a bit of a bitsa.
If I had somewhere to store the chassis for 12 months I would love to save it. I would expect that the buyer will grab the front axle and scrap the rest - which is a real shame.

Scroll down - that rolling chassis made £567

Expensive rust. Guess as it rusts, the value increases ??
