Re: bottom
If that's what you mean and, as you say, you have the twin of my limestone Stage 1, all I can say is mine doesn't have it either, just the standard alloy Solihull badge - same with my other Stage 1 Station Wagon, which was originally a Land Rover demonstrator/press vehicle, so, no, I doubt it should have one. I have never understood which vehicles got that badge - I think it might be only earlier models (Series 1/2/2A?) Anyone?
Re: bottom
i always thought the earlier badges were 2 piece, but if they didnt come with 1 on,im not really bothered about one. this just has the normal badge.

Re: bottom
Mine's not a station wagon, but that rear panel is pretty cluttered - would the 'station wagon' piece even fit???
Re: bottom
Probably not original, but mine has a single piece badge.

Re: bottom
Off subject, but I really need to get my cappings stripped back to the galvy finish - it looks so much better with them like that, particularly on Limestone...
Back on subject, db are you sure thats a one piece badge - it looks like a two piece set to me (like the ones I took off my '73 station wagon a few years ago ) I'm hoping to be able to put them on the Stage One in due course.
Re: bottom
whats that box thing on the orange one?
Re: bottom
Yes, try zooming in on it on the full size image http://album.dbrooke.me.uk/P1010677.JPG and you can't see a join.CaptainSlow wrote:Back on subject, db are you sure thats a one piece badge - it looks like a two piece set to me (like the ones I took off my '73 station wagon a few years ago ) I'm hoping to be able to put them on the Stage One in due course.

That's a junction box with glands for cables. This shows the cable from the solar panels I fit for camping.quilp wrote:whats that box thing on the orange one?
Re: bottom
been thinking of getting a solar panel are they any good?

Well, how long is a piece of string?quilp wrote:been thinking of getting a solar panel are they any good?
Mine are total overkill for the task but I already had them, having used them for the house lighting on my previous house.
So fitting to the landy was just a matter of bolting them to some roof bars.

Back to original post (although I do love solar panels)....
There is a long thread on the Defender Source forum (old D-90 Forum). The worked with a vendor that made replica and custom badges for Land Rovers of all varieties.
The link to the thread is here ==> http://www.defendersource.com/forum/sho ... rerid=2300 (hopefully that cuts and pastes correctly)
Folks were asking for replicas of the standard Land Rover badges - so you should be able to get your Station Wagon rocker. You can also get all kinds of unique stuff.
I believe the guy actually making these things is in the UK. ==> http://www.artmindesign.co.uk/
The Art Mind Design web page has a few samples on it. If you browse the many, many pages of the Defender Source thread you will see all kinds of designs.
