Has anybody got one or ever seen one?
Loads of bog standard 109 Series 3's. Loads of 110/Defender, but the poor old Stage 1 seems to have been overlooked on the model front.
Or is there a hidden gem out there?
Strange, back in the day I seem to remember the 109 V8 was the best new thing to have come out of Solihull, since, well, probably the Range-Rover.
Usually toy manufacturers are straight on the case producing replicas of motor manufacturers latest product. What happened?

I have always looked out for a model Stage 1. Never seen one either. When you ask the sellers you get a blank look and handed a jeep. good luck in your search

Re: Diecast or model Stage 1
I prefer collecting 12":1' scale models.
Haven't seen any die cast ones. Not seen any descent models of any other Landrover either.

I think Verem or Solido did a V8 Fire engine but that is only one I ever saw, sold for silly money on ebay last time I saw one and was about 1:43 scale.

Not a model unfortunately, but it is a Stage 1 - pretty rare to see depicted at all anywhere:

(I was just given the keyring, and couldn't believe it wasn't a 110)
