I have spent several days reading through the 80 pages on there and have found some good tips, there are a few stage 1s being an aussie site, also a lot of p76 engines which interest me particularly.

Spring configuration

I understand the use of the few arched springs for unladen comfort and flex with the heavier straight springs giving the bottom end load carrying capacity.

However, this set up appears to me to be begging to hang up on rocks, sticks, mud and roots when driving off road.

Any other thoughts?

of course there is a possibility of that, and the fourth leaf especially looks prone to it, but when fitted how much of a problem will it be, I guess would depend on usage.
