Battery cables

Post by 5988 »

Could anyone take a quick look under there LR and tell me where the battery earth cables from. Know they come in the back of the seatbox, but not where the other end goes to (I know it could technically go to pretty much anything metal, but I'm trying to get it run right)

Mine bolts onto the outrigger just behind the seatbox.

Cheers, have done the same. Looks quite tidy

Do you have only 1 earth front engine/box to chassis? I've got one at the front of the engine to be chassis. Is there another anywhere

Waiting the battery to charge, then hopefully things work ..l maybe

Sort of a success

There was no smoke so that's good

Sme issues to investigate tomorrow though,
Engine tries to start on first position of key
No brake lights
No fuel pump
No charge light
No heater
No washers
No horn
Cold start and main beam warning lights wrong way around

Hazards and fogs working, which were a nightmare to work out. Indicators, wipers, lights, flashers, starter, oil pressure etc all work.
Can't test temp or fuel yet
So don't think any of the non working bits are major - back to it tomorrow
