Overdrive Operating Lever

Post by Raggylad »

I've put an operating lever for a Stage One/early 110 V8 LT95 gearbox Fairey overdrive up for sale on ebay UK. I am prepared to sell it to forum members for less than the Buy it Now price (£15). PM me if you are interested.

Cheers,

Nick

That was a deal. When I bought mine it cost me 50 quid.

That's ebay for you. I picked a time when I was pitching at a potential market of one ! Mind you, postage to Oz bumped the cost up a bit.

I think I've gotten hold of a NOS operating lever - can anyone confirm if this looks correct :) ?

Mic. That's the one. I need to borrow one as a pattern to make some. Have you got the guide block as well.

Unfortunately I don't have the block. Craddock are making replica levers now as far as I know :)

For the PTO lever lever I made (should be similar to the OD because the PTO output is in the same position as the OD), I made a block out of a chunk of nylon. Will never seize and slides nicely. Sorry, I assume this is the block you are referring to, my apologies if it is not.

Actually, the rod I bent (like that described above) looked a lot like this when I was done.

Are you using the PTO for a Koenig winch ? Any ideas where to find a PTO for our LT95 - they seem so rare ?

No, it is for a Thomas winch. Similar to Ramsay in the US.

Getting a PTO? Hmmm, good luck is the greatest ingredient. I bought mine from Australia. I still had to get the drive shafts machined.

Tell you what though, a PTO winch is the best 8)
