Looks brilliant. Feeling slightly envious

You need to adjust the straps for the rag top to get the billows out of it. It might be too that you need to adjust the door frames and check that the hoops are the correct distances apart. The corners fall in because of the way in which the rear flap rope is tied off. LRO in June 2008 did a useful article on how to tie them right. Lots of fiddling. Enjoy.

Some tweaks still needed yep,

Trim to go in, stickers to go on, oils to flush in a few hundred miles, old style number plates needed, roof does need adjusting now is been out and moved

Engines running well and gearbox is ok ... Not used to the performance from a series, or the ride - so smooth compared to an 88

Find a few teething troubles,
Big oil lack on the LH bank, seems to have been rocker cover gasket so hopefully got that one sorted.
Rear diff flange leaking, will need a sleeve for the flange
Lots of muck in the fuel system, but filter seems to be staying clean after 3 flushes bowls half full of muck

Done a 300mile trip to a show and returned 17.2mpg overal so not bad for a newly built engine and a soft top - cruising at 60mph

The same mileage I used to get on George before moving to the 3.9. Now it is closer to 15 :(

Bit of an update as its been nearly a year,
Its not been to far, don't just over 1k miles but ba a few minor hiccups running well (oil leaks from gearbox gasket) and much in the fuel system

Finally fitting the trim, waiting the stickers arriving then it will be properly finished!

Is a balance, use it to much and condition will degrade but they aren't built to be looked at.
I have others LR's for day to day stuff so this is just shows, nice days or when I need to move long stuff

Just read this thread from beginning to end ( well it is Christmas!). What a great project and a fantastic record for the rest of us to follow on the the Stage 1 journey.
Hope she is still going strong, in summer at least and no major problems?
Thanks for taking the time to post it all.
