Ah. Erm, well the mechanic has said he has been able to make a float pin for it. Not sure how long that is going to last though to be honest. So I am still on the lookout.

The wood in the truck is all ash. I burn any wood i get my hands and never cut trees down, its all wind blown stuff.I am fortunate to live on the fringe of a large woods and am friendly with the owner. Ash is the best wood to burn and is very controllable in the woodburners in my home. I need about 5 tons every 2 years as you can see my wood pile will soon be full and seasoned ready for the next 2 years. I have 3 chainsaws, all Husqvarna from 30cc to 85cc.I would have said that your saw just isnt sharp enough if it sticks on the bark. But, i dont claim to know about your indigenous trees. The hardest wood i have come across here is coastal old knarly salt hardened Scots pine. Smelt wonderfull on the fire though.

I first used broken branchs from the ground, then I used a "real" pices of wood from a (sawmill); a cock-tail of every thing (olive, almonds...)
The next winter I will try the oilmill garbage, they are pressing their garbage as a bloks and sell it as a wood branches of 1 KLG. for 7.5 SP a pice , befor pressing the garbage 2 years ago, they used to sell it as (DOGMA) for 0.60 SP for 1 KLG. [/img]
wonderful sport!
