There's a Stage 1 bonnet on ebay now:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/153357174974?ul_noapp=true

It's one without a spare wheel carrier but these things come up very rarely. Seems a fair price too considering condition.

What's the differences between the stage one bonnet and the early 110?

The reinforcement structure is different. Stage one is like a straight ladder and the early defender the two side bars sply out at the base...

Different dimensions. The 110 is a wider vehicle than the series III and IIRC, the bonnet is longer. So the hinges are more widely spaced and at a different height above the bonnet.

Didn't know that, mine has an early defender bonnet on it at the mo, hope I don't have the wrong hinge positions etc...

If true, I wasn't aware of that, Alan. Are you sure? I dont know why it need be longer, and I thought it was only wider in the axles - hence the wheel arch eyebrows. The reinforcement structure is indeed a slightly different configuration, but it also looks thicker (deeper) and sturdier to me on the Stage 1 bonnet. I could be wrong, but compare the one in my link above to this later bonnet:

The dimensions all look the same to me, as also with this even rarer Santana bonnet with even flimsier reinforcement:

Seems I'm wrong. Learned something new today :)

MRC5932 (Stage 1 V8 bonnet) is superseded by RTC6213 (Bonnet 90 - 110 and 109 V8 to 1994).

And, the hinge MRC9244 is superseded by AHU710010, also for 90 and 110 but I don't know the period covered.
