Glad I found this Forum, already found some interesting threads.

I own my stage 1 for a few months now.
Verry glad to find one in fine condition. Galvanised chassis, good body and parabolics were already on it.
Planning to put in a new engine and still have to mount the overdrive I already have. Also changed the old bend and ditched old bumper for a fairy capstan winchbumper. Also had a custom Stainless steel exhaust made and fitted tubular manifolds. The sound and preformance is way better then it was before.

Nice to see some other Dutch people over here also.

My interest for landies is due to my father. We have a series 3 "88, a 101 FC and a discovery TD5.

Here a picture of my car:

Cheers,

Manfred

@ basil, those are my hawaii flowers  Whole interior of the car is covered with them. My favorite hobby is windsurfing and this brings me, lets see, in the right mood..

The length and with of the roof provides just enough space to hang 2 surfboards against it + some other gear. I also have a simple bed in it to spend the night at some beach.

My favorite hobby is windsurfing
I was trying to work out what was on the roofrack and I guess that answers it :D

One of the reasons why I want to get my stage 1 back on the road asap is that I can fit in ll my mates and our snowboards. Where as its a tight squeeze in my 88"

Nice looking motor, are you planning on fitting a winch to that bumper?

It is already fitted in it but hard to see from this picture. It is a capstan directly driven by the crankshaft.

Still have to connect it and fit hand-throttle on it.

I remember fitting a capstan winch to friends landy that had a 6 cylinder engine and we had a nightmare trying to get the drive to fit.

Was the winch originally fitted to aV8? I am interested to know how it goes.

Don't know on what car it was, but I presume it not being a V8.
I am interested too, but I rather first replace my engine before I start working on the winch.

Hi there,
That's a very nice motor you got there, don't listen to Bumpkin, He's got this whole green problem, when red is really the best colour :P

Why settle for 1 colour when you can have 7 :-)

LOL Jonnyboy
Eventhough I am not planning to put another 6 colours on it in the future :D

First I wanted to make it the original Yellow, but after a while I started to like masai red more and more.
Sounds like I now joined the clan of masai red lovers..?
