Hey guys,

I am about to pick up this V8 tray back next week.

It's been 8 years since I sold my V8 110 so I thought it was about time I owned another Landy and I have always been a Stage 1 fan.

Welcome along Lewy. Is that tray back an original conversion? Not seen one like that before. Looks good though!!

Pretty common in this part of the world. Manufacturers would often sell models with just a bare chassis and people would fit whatever kind of tray they wanted.

Yep very common here. I did have an original dealer brochure years ago that showed the tray back or cab-chassis model in it.

Was available for most of Defender life too.

We even had a 120in version sold here when the 110 came out that was modified by the importer. Very rare, hence why I went the Stage 1 version.

My son loves it.

Paint code still on the radiator too.

Next step is Historic Log Book rego so I can drive it 60 days a year. And when my new garage is finally put up I can clean it up and fit a child seat in the middle.

You might want to read the National Code of Practise for Vehicle Modifications (NCOP Light) in regards to child restraints and front row seats.

Disco rims fitted today

And I also picked up 6 standard wheels with 4 good tyres to use when I want it to look standard.

Now I just need my new shed to built and I can start cleaning it up.
